The browser-based document service PDF Guru is now available to Ukrainians through a partnership with Diia. From now on, users in Ukraine can work with files online without installing additional software — they only need to verify their identity via Diia on the service’s website.
What Is This Product?
PDF Guru is a web-based document management service developed by FORMA, one of the businesses within the Universe Group of product IT companies. It was initially created as a tool for working with PDF files, but later the team expanded its functionality in response to user needs.
Today, the service is available in more than 20 localizations and is used by tens of millions of users in over 180 countries.

What Problems Does PDF Guru Solve?
The service is designed as a universal tool for everyday file management, with a simple interface and clear logic. Its features include:
Editing PDF documents (text, formatting, annotations)
Converting files between formats (Word, Excel, images, and more)
Merging and splitting documents
Compressing files with adjustable quality levels
Creating PDFs from images
Adding electronic signatures and reusing them
Translating PDF documents into different languages
Transcribing audio and video into text
Own Technologies and AI
The PDF Guru team develops its own technologies within the product. One of the key areas is OCR (optical character recognition), which allows extracting text from scanned documents and images.
In addition, the product uses AI tools for data processing, some of which are developed in-house. These include:

Audio and video transcription into text with speaker recognition

The team plans to further expand the Ukrainian localization of the service, develop educational content and help materials for users, and continue improving the technological side of the product — especially OCR and AI tools for working with documents and media files.
